Planning, Professionalism, and Progress Define Jubilee Corporation’s Success

Alnoor Sheriff, Managing Director, Jubilee Corporation

Established in 1962, Jubilee Corporation is one of Pakistan’s leading private engineering organizations, offering advanced solutions in electrical, electronics, and automation technologies. Headquartered in Karachi, the company is widely recognized for its expertise in low-voltage and medium-voltage switchgear, power distribution, energy management, and industrial automation. As an authorized distributor for more than 35 globally renowned manufacturers, Jubilee Corporation continues to serve industries across Pakistan with a strong reputation for quality, reliability, and technical excellence. In an exclusive interview with Engineering Post, Managing Director Alnoor Sheriff shared his views on the company’s philosophy, market outlook, and future direction.

Reflecting on the company’s resilience during recent global uncertainties, Alnoor Sheriff said that success in difficult times comes from preparation and professionalism. “The advantage of having professional teams is that they are aware of the situations and they plan ahead,” he remarked. “That is why Jubilee Corporation was not affected that much during the war scenario.” He explained that while many businesses faced supply disruptions and uncertainty, Jubilee Corporation’s strategic planning and market awareness enabled it to continue operations smoothly and support customers without interruption.

Speaking about the core identity of the company, Alnoor Sheriff emphasized that Jubilee Corporation does not see itself as a conventional trading house. “We believe that we are not just providing parts, we are a solution provider, every time a customer engages us, it should be a win-win for the customer,” he added.

Sharing examples of value creation, Alnoor Sheriff noted that technical expertise often makes a measurable difference in customer profitability. “We have engaged in projects where, due to our technical knowledge, we were able to help the customer and improve their ROI resulting in production efficiency thus becoming an investment, rather than an expense.” He added

Discussing the company’s operational focus, Alnoor Sheriff said Jubilee Corporation prioritizes power quality and efficiency. “Our company focuses on power quality and better utilisation of available power and increasing efficiency of the current system rather than making our customers unnecessarily invest in expensive equipment,” he stated. He said industries today require smarter solutions that maximize the performance of existing systems while reducing losses and operating costs.

On the subject of competition, Alnoor Sheriff stressed that business success depends on more than products alone. “I believe that the competition is not just about the product, it is about the value system as well,” he said. He explained that while pricing and product availability are important, long-term success is built on trust, ethical dealings, after-sales support, and customer confidence. “We understand that the competition is tough in the market,” he added, “but we have a comfortable lead in Tier-1 products.”

Commenting on international trends, Alnoor Sheriff said the rise of Chinese manufacturing has changed the global engineering landscape. “With the increasing success of the China model, the Chinese have started to provide good quality products at very low prices as well, and we are on the lookout for them too,” he said. He disclosed that Jubilee Corporation has already identified a promising Chinese brand for potential collaboration. “This Chinese brand is a good quality brand, investing over seven percent of its revenue in R&D, and has straightforward dealings,” Alnoor Sheriff stated. Jubilee Corporation has already stocked the products in its warehouse to ensure immediate customer requirements.

He emphasized that Jubilee Corporation’s continued success is rooted in trust, technical strength, and customer-focused solutions.
