Under drastic condition arose out of Coronavirus pledge, the Punjab Industrial Estates Development and Management Company (PIEDMC) has fixed to launch a campaign to implement preventive measures in all the factories operating in different industrial estates. Chairman PIEDMC, Syed Nabeel Hashmi has instructed to take precautionary measures in his meeting which was attended by representatives of all the industrial estates including President Board of Management, Sundar Industrial Estate Shahzad Azam and President Board of Management, Quaid-e-Azam Industrial Estate Arif Qasim. Currently, more than 2000 factories are operating in different production sectors of economy in all the seven industrial estates counting Sundar Estate, Quaid-e-Azam estate, Bhalwal estate, Rahim Yar Khan, Multan Phase-1 & 2 and Vehari Industrial Estate. Around 250,000 workers are involved directly and about one million people are engaged indirectly with these set-ups.
