Pakistan’s BlueEast, the largest Internet of Things (IoT) company which is a subsidiary of Orient Group of Companies has inked an MoU with Zong 4G for a Joint Venture in pursuit of development of IoT ecosystem in Pakistan. This partnership will contribute towards innovation and digitisation across the country through deployment of IoT solution. The initial phase of this partnership will enable internet connectivity on 20,000 existing multi brand air conditioners in the corporate sector.
The MoU and contract signing ceremony was held in the presence of Zong 4G’s Chief Financial Officer, Li Wenyu, and Chief Executive Officer BlueEast and Director Sales and Marketing, Orient Group of Companies, Mian Abdul Rehman Talat, along with management of both companies.
E-comfort technology, by BlueEast, is a suite of artificial intelligence systems using machine learning algorithms that learn consumer behavior along with performance of the appliances to save electricity while maintaining a comfortable environment for the users.
This technology will provide savings of over Rs 30,000 per air conditioner annually by using the patented E-comfort technology from BlueEast, therefore ensuring savings of over Rs. 600 million in 2019, on the electricity bills to the corporate sector in Pakistan, while reducing their energy consumption by approximately 17 per cent.
