Pakistan HVACR society has signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) with Punjab Vocational Training Council (PVTC) in a bid to bridge the gap between the industry and academia. As part of this initiative Pakistan HVACR society will work for bringing the academia up to the standards being followed by the industry at this time.
Mr. Khurram Rehman Malick (President PHVACR Society) and Mr. Major Shahnawaz Badar (Retd) (Chairman PVTC) signed the MoU on behalf of their respective institutions.
During the meeting it was discussed that a committee shall be formed to address the following items:
1) Curriculum for the HVACR Trade
2) Certifying the Pakistan HVACR Society SKILL Development Course with the logo of PVTC.
3) Training of Teachers.
4) Upgrading the Technical College Labs upto the current Standards.
During the meeting the entire Board of PVTC was present along with the PHVACR Officers of EC, Lahore chapter and Faisalabad Chapter.
