NTDC to execute 220kv grid station at Dhabeji under CPEC

A professional Parliamentary Committee on China-Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC) has agreed with NTDC to execute the 220kV grid station of Special Economic Zone Dhabeji. The meeting was attended by Noor Alam Khan, MNA, Raza Rabbani MNA, in person, and Sardar Ayaz Sadiq MNA (through video link). According to prime decision taken at the meeting. The government would introduce a new legislation to give legal cover to the China-Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC) Authority. After detailed deliberation, the committee has decided about the completion of grid station. Soon, the distribution of electricity will be handed over to the distributing agency. Meanwhile, the Sindh government will start its work simultaneously without waiting for the construction of grid station by the NTDC. The secretary power has guaranteed the Committee about report submission to the Planning Commission at fast track. As Nepra has analyzed the issues of the three prioritized Special Economic Zones regarding supply of electricity, the Committee will further direct all the stakeholders to submit their progress reports regularly.
