NTDC to contribute towards Clean and Green Pakistan

National Transmission and Despatch Company Limited (NTDC) has planned to plant 0.1 million trees under the PM’s initiative of clean and green Pakistan. These plants will be planted at its 500kV and 220 kV grid stations across the country. The tree plantation ceremony was organized at 500kV under construction grid station at Faisalabad under the chair ship of Managing Director NTDC Engr. Muhammad Ayub, who also planted a tree. He also spoke about the benefits of tree plantation that will help to combat the serious threats such as climate change, global warming and greenhouse gases. Tree plantations will also minimize the environmental impact of construction of new grid stations and transmission lines in the existing vicinities. He also commented over the construction work of 500 kV grid station Faisalabad West.  The project will be completed with the cost of Rs 9379 million spread over 90 acres of land. Two transformers of 750MVA and 3 transformers of 250MV will be installed at the Grid Station.
