NTDC choose Haier AC’s for Supply, installation & commissioning at NTDC grid stations

National Transmission & Dispatch Company (NTDC) is an autonomous power transmission company under ministry of Energy (Power Division). It was separated from Water & Power Development Authority (WAPDA) in 1998 and owns all 220 KV and 500KV grid stations and transmission lines in Pakistan. NTDC started its commercial operations from 1999. Its present headquarters are located at WAPDA House, Lahore.

Recently the National Transmission and Dispatch Company (NTDC) planned to upgrade the existing Grid stations with latest air conditioning units so that the temperature in critical areas can be maintained at an optimal level and uninterrupted power can be supplied to the masses even in extremely hot weather. For this purpose NTDC decided to take advantage from the expertise of local service providers. Haier Pakistan took the charge to provide its services for NTDC grid stations under chief engineer (asset management) north program. Haier Pakistan supplied and installed Cabinet type Air Conditioners at the grid stations to help NTDC maintain optimum temperatures for their control systems. Team of Haier Technicians and Engineers supplied and installed cabinet AC’s at multiple grid stations and NTDC has praised the Haier Pakistan team for quality of work and services provided to help energy sector during peak load requirements.

NTDC operates fourteen 500 KV and forty-three 220 KV grid stations, 5893 km of 500 KV transmission lines, and 10963 km of 220 KV transmission lines across the country. NEPRA granted Transmission License to NTDC in December 2002 to engage in the exclusive transmission business for a term of 30 years. NTDC aims to be the best Transmission Company while adopting best utility practices, ensuring Transmission System Reliability & Safety and committed to become the Best Service Provider to the Power Producers, Distribution Companies and bulk power consumers connected to its Network. NTDC is also acquiring new technologies including 765kV AC, + 660 kV DC & import of power from neighboring countries.
