In recognition of his outstanding contributions to engineering, leadership, and mentorship, NED University of Engineering and Technology has renamed a conference room in the Department of Mechanical Engineering as the “Engr. M. Abbas Sajid Board Room”. This honor, duly approved by the NED University Syndicate, is a testament to his dedication to education, research, and professional excellence. The boardroom was inaugurated by Engr. Abbas Sajid alongside Dr. Sarosh Hashmat Lodi, Vice-Chancellor of NED University, on 21st March 2025.
Engr. Muhammad Abbas Sajid, a proud alumnus of NED University’s 1983 Mechanical Engineering class, has played a pivotal role in advancing engineering education and industry collaboration. He is the founding Secretary General of the NED International Alumni Network (NEDIAN) Association, Pakistan and has actively contributed to NED University’s growth through major projects, including the City Campus Mosque, STEM Center, and the ASHRAE-Anwar Saadat HVACR Research Center.
As a Senate Member, ORIC Committee Member, and Industrial Advisory Member, Engr. Abbas has been instrumental in shaping policies and initiatives that benefit students, researchers, and professionals
Beyond academia, Engr. Abbas is a pioneering entrepreneur, having founded Engineering Services in 1984, expanding operations across Pakistan and Saudi Arabia.
