National Aerospace Science and Technology Park (NASTP) inaugurated

The inauguration of National Aerospace Science And Technology Park (NASTP) at
Islamabad was held in the presence of Prime Minister Shehbaz Shareef,
established by a collaborative effort of te private sector, international companies
and the government of Pakistan.
While addressing during the ceremony, PM Shehbaz Shareef said that the
leadership of Pakistan Air Force needs to be appreciated for initiating the project.
This project will be used for activities related to the Special Investments
Facilitation Council (SIFC).
Chief Executive Officer of NASTP, Air Commodore Dr. Liaqatullah spoke during the
ceremony and said that the Pakistan Air Force has achieved numerous successes
in the Field of aerospace technology including the establishment of research and
development centers for capacity building of the new generation. He also stated
that this project holds national significance and will provide proper ecosystems
besides providing other benefits.
He also said that this project has been completed in record time and will be able
to help in achieving the country’s self reliance on aerospace technology by
pursuing the vision of Quaid e Azam Muhammad Ali Jinnah to achieve self
dependence. He briefed about the project and said that it will comprise of three
campuses separately to house private sector companies, cyber AI and IT
companies and aircraft, space and expo centers altogether.
The Air Chief has already ordered to launch the second phase of the project to
establish facilities at city and university levels, meanwhile the project has been
declared a special zone so the benefits of subsidies and duty exemptions will also
be entertained along with the provision of a platform for solid networking
opportunities.
