Engineering Post in conversation with Mr. Naveed Boghani, Director Monitor Cables
Monitor Cables, a cable manufacturing company, has been making a name for itself in the industry since its inception in 2007. In recent years, the company has also ventured into manufacturing flexible wires for the solar sector and has introduced a new initiative for multicore wires production for the same sector.
During a recent exclusive conversation with Engineering Post Mr. Naveed Boghani, the Director of Monitor Cables, explained that the demand for solar products is increasing and the company is committed to meeting this demand by providing high-quality cables and wires for the solar sector. “We have seen a rise in demand for solar products, and we believe that our products can help meet this demand. We have been manufacturing flexible wires for the solar sector for some time now, and we recently introduced a new initiative for multicore wires production for the same sector,” he said. Multicore wires are designed to carry multiple signals or power sources within a single cable, simplifying installation and reducing clutter. This can be especially useful in large-scale solar installations where multiple panels and inverters need to be connected. By manufacturing high-quality flexible and multicore wires for the solar sector, Monitor Cables is playing an important role in supporting the growth of renewable energy in Pakistan.
The company has been receiving a very good response in the south region of the country, but Mr. Naveed Boghani believes that there is still a lot of potential for growth in the north region as well. “We have been focusing on the south region for some time now, and we have established a strong network there and we are growing steadily. However, we are now looking to expand our reach and generate a distribution network in the north region as well,” he added.
One of the core principles of Monitor Cables is its commitment to providing quality products to its customers. Mr. Naveed Boghani emphasized that this philosophy has been ingrained in the company since its inception. “From day one, our business philosophy has been to provide quality products at all costs. During the conversation, Mr. Naveed Boghani revealed that Monitor Cables is made with high-quality materials, including 99.9% pure copper and electrical grade PVC. He explained that this particular PVC type has a distinct advantage over other types of PVC due to its superior electrical insulation, flexibility, and high voltage elongation properties. Furthermore, he mentioned that the cable meets the BS7655 and BS6346 standards, which are internationally recognized benchmarks for quality and safety in cable manufacturing.
As part of its commitment to quality, Monitor Cables recently expanded its manufacturing facility to increase production capacity and ensure that its products meet the highest standards. The company has also established a distribution network in KPK province and is now planning to penetrate the Punjab market as well. Commenting on the company’s growth and expansion plans, Mr. Boghani said, “We have come a long way since our inception in 2007. We are committed to continuing this growth trajectory and expanding our reach to new markets and customers.”
