Land for Small Industrial State and Surgical City acquired

Deputy Commissioner Adnan Mehmuud Awan had a meeting with the President of the Sialkot Chamber of Commerce and Industry Abdul Ghafoor Malik wherein he stated that the land that was needed for Small Industrial State and Surgical City has been acquired. He said that the acquired area shall soon be handed over to the Punjab Small Industrial State Corporation.

Commissioner Adnan also highlighted that the district administration is fully cooperating with the responsible institutions in order to complete the projects as soon as possible and promote the economic activities of the city.

During the meeting, Deputy Commissioner Adnan also said the road project of Sambrial Dry port Chowk to Airport has been initiated and the funds for this road project have been released. During the first phase of construction, one lane shall be completed and the traffic shall be allowed to pass through, meanwhile work on the streetlights is also underway.

According to the plan, the patchwork on the city roads should be completed in the next eight weeks for 35 million rupees. Pasrur road and Wazirabad road will also be fixed and a request has been made to the government regarding the funds for the latter.

Additional Deputy Commissioner (General) Ahmed Raza, Chairman Sialkot International Airport Limited (SIAL) Khawaja Masood Akhtar, former SCCI Presidents Chaudhry Toheed Akhtar, Rana Nadeem and other members were also present on the occasion.
