The Energy & Power Department of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP) plans to appoint an experienced senior
officer as the CEO of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Transmission & Grid Company (KPT&GC), aimed at improving
the electricity transmission system in the province. The provincial government has allocated Rs. 96
million for the company’s establishment, including the selection of a building and hiring a chartered
accountant for rule formulation.
During a meeting, various power transmission issues were discussed,
including collaboration with NEPRA and NTDC, integration of electricity from ongoing projects, and the
appointment process for the CEO and staff. The establishment of the company was hailed as a milestone
by Chairman Board Secretary Power, Syed Zulfiqar Ali Shah, who expressed confidence in transmitting
affordable electricity and bringing honor to the province.
