K-Electric has received the licence to build and operate a gas pipeline that will supply Re-gasified Liquefied Natural Gas (RLNG) to an upcoming RLNG-based 900 MW BQPS-III power plant.
Under the license KE will undertake regulated activity related to construction and operation of 14-inch diameter x 2.4 kilometer natural gas pipeline along with ancillary/connected facilities for the purpose of transmission of natural gas/RLNG from Tie-in Point, SSGC Custody Transfer Station located at Bin Qasim to KE Bin Qasim Power Complex.
Under the 25 years licence KE shall not be liable to pay annual fee under the Natural Gas (Licensing) Rules, 2002, to the authority so long as the licensee is carrying out the transmission of natural gas exclusively for self-consumption.
