Job fair and Project exhibition at Usman Institute of Technology Karachi

Keeping up with its rich tradition, one of the country’s leading technology institutes, Usman Institute of Technology (UIT), held its Annual Final Year Projects Exhibition and job fair at its campus. Officials of Pakistan’s top 53 national and multinational firms, Consulate Generals of different countries, and country’s prominent academics graced the event with their presence. Mohammed Kasim Hasham (President Usman Memorial Foundation) along with other Board Members attended the event as the Chief Guest and appreciated UIT for the promotion of technology education in Pakistan.

The Final Year’s Projects Exhibition showcased numerous innovative technology based projects that had been conceived and materialized by graduating students of Electrical Engineering and Computer Science departments of UIT. Some of these projects steeped in innovation and originality have already won appreciation at various competitions. Parents and guests had the opportunity to get insight – firsthand from the creators about the projects which may transform into life changing products in not so distant future.

“The role of UIT in promoting technology education in Pakistan and producing highly skilled graduates is commendable,” said Mohammad Kasim Hasham (Chief Guest, President Usman Memorial Foundation) while expressing his thoughts at the event. “Today’s event where graduating students showcased their interesting and futuristic tech project especially shows the commitment that UIT has to developing and promoting a strong technological ecosystem in Pakistan and bring the country on the global map of innovation. I truly appreciate UIT for these efforts and congratulate them on organizing this successful job fair and projects exhibition,” he added.

“UIT has quickly established its mark in Electrical Engineering and Computer Science higher studies, said Dr. Zahir Ali Syed, Director UIT. “Our vision is deeply etched in our conscience that we have to bring about a generation, particularly sensitive towards needs of the Pakistani society and industry. Using their knowledge and skills our students come up with practical applications of technology to solve our national and local problems,” he added.
