Telecommunication sector remained a significant source of revenue generation for the national exchequer during the last fiscal year.
The Information T technology sector contributed Rs 327 billion to the national exchequer during the period under report, according to the official sources.
The IT sector posted an appreciable growth of 6.6 percent in the last financial year but the overall economic slowdown and increased operational costs ,however, resulted in the slower expansion of the cellular mobile sector. Experts have, somehow, opened, that the envisioned turnaround of Pakistan’s economy in the medium-to-long term was possible by utilizing the potential of the IT and telecommunication sector to as maximum as possible.
