Setting new standards of excellence
Karachi chapter of IEEEP, over the years, carried out some very serious activities and proved to be the best chapter across Pakistan. A very active monthly meet up has helped the council members to plan some big yearly activities including multi topic international symposium and IEEEP Fair. Karachi center has always shown their excellent management skills when it comes to the management of all their events especially Multi topic symposium and IEEEP fairs.
This year again, IEEEP Fair is expected to be the best among all the previous Fairs and has expanded to the four halls. International participation is increasing every year and this year it is said that almost two times more international companies are participating compared to the last year. Another important element is the participation of many companies this year from upcountry as well.
Management of IEEEP deserves a big applaud specially Mr. Asif Siddiqui chairman Karachi chapter and Mr. Navid Ansari, convener IEEEP fair and their team. A good thing noticed about the management of IEEEP is that the office bearers take the Institutions activity as seriously as their own business. The result of the sincere efforts is evident from success of events managed under the umbrella of IEEEP Karachi center.
Institution of Electrical and Electronics Engineers Pakistan was founded in 1969 by the Electrical Engineers belonging to Institute of Engineers Pakistan (IEP) to develop and exclusive forum for the electrical engineers to meet the challenge of rapid developments in the electrical engineering technology. The paramount objective of IEEEP is dissemination of technical knowledge and introducing up to date technology to its members in particular and the community of engineers in general. IEEEP with its head office at Lahore also has local centers at Karachi, Hyderabad, Multan, Faisalabad and Rawalpindi/Islamabad for dissemination of technical knowledge within their localities.
The establishment of Institution of Electrical & Electronics Engineers Pakistan was a natural manifestation of the changing environment, evidencing the ever-increasing importance of engineering and technology all over the world. Electrical and electronic technology are not only playing and increasingly important part in their own fields but also contributing substantially to the growth of a number of the other technologies. Thus the growth of Institution of Electrical & Electronics Engineers in Pakistan as an effective Institution for the promotion of electrical engineering is of primary significance to the industrial and economic growth of Pakistan.
