Humza Amjad Wazir and Sohail Rana Highlight Power Vision’s Commitment to Reliable Energy Solutions

Power Vision and Pak Tractors Manufacturing Company are strengthening their presence in Pakistan’s agricultural and power generation sectors through a diverse portfolio of tractors and diesel generators. Led by Humza Amjad Wazir, CEO of Power Vision and Pak Tractors Manufacturing Company, and Sohail Rana, COO of Power Vision, the companies focus on delivering dependable equipment, expanding awareness of modern agricultural machinery, and supporting customers through after-sales services. In an exclusive interview with Engineering Post, both leaders discussed the growing demand for higher-horsepower tractors, Power Vision’s generator portfolio, and the challenges posed by increasing taxation on locally assembled generators.

Speaking about the company’s tractor portfolio, Humza Amjad Wazir said, “We are manufacturing a diverse range of ATS brand of tractors, starting from 50 HP and going up to 82 HP and importing  YTO brand of high Horse Power Tractors upto 450 HP. With time, awareness about agricultural mechanization is increasing, and farmers are recognizing the utility of larger tractors. The average horsepower per acre is increasing day by day, reflecting the changing requirements of modern agriculture.”

He explained that the agricultural sector is gradually moving towards greater mechanization, with farmers increasingly recognizing the role of appropriately powered machinery in improving operational efficiency and meeting modern farming requirements. The availability of tractors across different horsepower categories enables the company to cater to a range of agricultural applications.

Sohail Rana, COO of Power Vision, highlighted the company’s power generation portfolio, stating, “Under Power Vision, we offer generators ranging from 10 KW to 1 MW. We use Lister Petter engines from the UK, and our focus is on providing environment-friendly, smokeless diesel generators. Our generators come with a three-year warranty, which reflects our commitment to quality and customer confidence.”

According to Sohail Rana, Power Vision’s generator solutions have achieved significant acceptance across multiple sectors, including banking, the armed forces, hospitals, and other industries requiring dependable backup power. The company’s product range is designed to serve different power requirements, from smaller installations to large-scale applications.

Discussing customer retention, Sohail Rana emphasized the importance of support beyond the initial sale. “One of the most important aspects of retaining a client is after-sales service, and this is where Power Vision excels. Our commitment to customer support has resulted in many satisfied clients who continue to return to us for their equipment and power generation requirements,” he stated.

The company considers after-sales support an important component of its business approach, particularly in the generator sector, where maintenance, service availability, and operational reliability influence long-term customer relationships.

Addressing the issue of rising taxation on generators, Humza Amjad Wazir and Sohail Rana expressed concerns about the potential impact on the local coupling industry. They maintained that the government should assess the broader consequences of additional taxes rather than focusing exclusively on immediate revenue generation.

“The government needs to understand the challenges faced by the industry,” Humza Amjad explained. “An undue increase in taxation may generate additional revenue temporarily, but ultimately it could lead to the closure of the coupling industry. This would affect local businesses and undermine the sustainability of the sector.”
