One of Haier’s notable achievements was securing the prestigious award for the best global sales of commercial air conditioners in 2023, surpassing business partners globally. This recognition underscored Haier’s prowess in delivering high-quality products and exceptional services to its clientele. This was revealed by Mr. Salman Saleem, Head of Department at Haier Pakistan during an exclusive conversation with Engineering Post. “In the first quarter of 2024 alone, Haier Commercial A.C has already surpassed a value of 2.6 billion PKR & Quantity of more than 9,000 Units”.
Haier Pakistan has recently won a monumental tender worth 3 billion PKR for the revamping of DHQ and THQ hospitals in the Punjab province. This significant project involves the supply and installation of 2-ton D.C Inverter Floor-standing Units (4,500 Qty) and 4-ton DC Inverter Floor-standing air conditioners (2,000 Qty), and home appliances demonstrating Haier’s commitment to supporting critical healthcare infrastructure while adhering to domestic production and technical compliance standards. Mr. Salman Saleem remarks, “This tender was for companies who had established manufacturing facility in Pakistan not just assembly plants and Haier Pakistan is one of the leading companies with a mega manufacturing factory located in Lahore, Pakistan,” he said.
Moreover, Haier’s commitment to innovation is evident in its introduction of Solar ACs, a sustainable solution that integrates solar panels with air conditioning units.
To further enhance its competitive edge and ensure the highest standards of service delivery, Haier also invests in workforce development initiatives such as the recent “2024 Haier Global Chiller Conference” program.
Mr. Salman revealed that currently Haier has the capacity to manufacture 1.3 million refrigerators, 700,000 Air conditioners and around 100,000 commercial AC units annually.
