Haier Pakistan continues to expand its presence in the residential and commercial air-conditioning sectors through product innovation, smart technology, and large-scale HVAC projects. With an expanding portfolio of air conditioners, refrigerators, and washing machines, the company is integrating artificial intelligence into its consumer appliances while strengthening its commercial air-conditioning offerings. In an exclusive interview with Engineering Post, Salman Saleem, Senior National Manager Commercial AC, Haier Pakistan, discussed the company’s upcoming MRV-7 T3 series, sales milestones, AI integration, and major VRF installations across Pakistan.
Speaking about Haier’s commercial air-conditioning portfolio, Salman Saleem said, “The MRV-7 T3 series is being launched globally, and we expect it to be available in the Pakistani market by the end of 2026. This is an important addition to our commercial AC portfolio, and the series will also feature a self-cleaning function.”
The upcoming MRV-7 T3 series is expected to strengthen Haier Pakistan’s commercial air-conditioning offerings, with the company preparing to introduce the latest global product developments to the local market.
Discussing Haier Pakistan’s performance and consumer product milestones, Salman Saleem stated, “For 2026, Haier Pakistan is on its way to completing total sales of USD 1 billion. Two of our household product categories, split ACs and refrigerators, have already crossed sales of one million units. In 2027, we are planning to bring washing machines into the million-unit club.”

He further highlighted the company’s transition from Internet of Things (IoT) technology towards artificial intelligence (AI). “After IoT, Haier is now bringing AI into its air conditioners and refrigerators. Voice control is being introduced in our ACs, while refrigerators are also being equipped with inverters featuring AI control,” he explained.
Haier has also introduced refrigerators with the option to convert into deep freezers, offering consumers greater flexibility in food storage. In washing machines, the company has launched a 3-in-1 model that includes a separate compartment for delicate clothes, expanding its product functionality for household users.
Turning to commercial HVAC projects, Salman Saleem highlighted Haier’s involvement in significant VRF installations. These include a 500-ton project at Naya Nazimabad and a 450-ton installation at Cancer Care Hospital. In Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Haier’s VRF projects include Rehman Medical Institute and Khyber Medical Complex.
The company has also expanded its footprint in the floor-standing AC segment. “More than 22,000 floor-standing AC units have been deployed,” Salman Saleem stated, underscoring the scale of Haier’s installations in this category.
Haier Pakistan operates a manufacturing facility in Lahore with a designed capacity of 5 million units annually, producing and assembling home appliances and electronics. The company was established through a joint venture between Haier Group and Ruba Group and has expanded its local portfolio to include air conditioners, refrigerators, washing machines, deep freezers, and commercial air-conditioning systems.
