Gas condensate discovery at Lokhart Foundation by OGDCL

At Wali- one-well, Oil and Gas Development Company Limited (OGDCL) has made an exploration with 100% percent working interest. This discovery has been taken at FR-Lakki, Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa enclosing the sources of gas and over Lockhart Formation. The well was dogged-in on 2nd December, 2019 as an exploratory well and drilled down to the total depth of 4,727 meters (measured depth) into Kawagarh Formation. Before exploration, successful testing was carried out in Kawargarh and Hungu Formation, which turned out a gas and condensate discovery. Apart from this, a third potential zone, Lockhart Limestone, in the Wali-1 has also been tested at the rate of 13.695 million standard cubic feet per day (MMSCFD). While the gas contains a volume of 1,010 barrels per day condensate (BPD) at Choke size 32/64” at Well Head Flowing Pressure of 3050 PSIG. Broadening the phase further, the authorization of presence of hydrocarbon in the deeper reservoirs has been further extended. As hydrocarbon plays an important role on the south western part of Bannu Basin, it will positively contribute in moderating energy demand. The gas supply from native resources of hydrocarbon reserves will lessen a little burden on OGDCL while streamlining a passive energy sources for native folks.
