Established in 2003, Pyramid Automation has emerged as one of Pakistan’s leading industrial automation and power management companies, delivering advanced engineering solutions that enhance productivity, reliability and energy efficiency. Headquartered in Lahore, the company specializes in industrial automation, generator synchronization and load-sharing systems, SCADA solutions, IoT-based remote monitoring, power management systems, harmonic filters, surge protection devices and customized control solutions. Serving industries including textiles, pharmaceuticals, FMCG, power generation, oil and gas, telecommunications and manufacturing, the company has built a strong reputation for engineering excellence and dependable technical support. In an exclusive interview with Engineering Post, Mr. Shafique Ahmad, CEO, Pyramid Automation, discussed the company’s journey, technological strengths and future outlook.
Reflecting on the company’s growth, Mr. Shafique Ahmad said Pakistan offers tremendous opportunities for introducing quality industrial technologies. “Pakistan is one of the best countries where quality industrial products can be successfully launched,” he said.
He recalled the company’s introduction of Deep Sea generator control systems in Pakistan, initially there was no awareness of the importance of the product but with time it became one of the most important products business, bank, office etc. “With the increasing load shedding and frequent untimely power outages The product became so successful that Chinese copies started appearing in the market. It actually became a blessing in disguise because awareness of the technology increased and our marketing expanded automatically,” he remarked.
He stressed that uninterrupted power has become essential for modern manufacturing facilities. “Generator control systems are critical wherever production runs at high speed and on a large scale,” he said. “Industries such as cigarette manufacturing, beverage bottling and textile production cannot afford unexpected shutdowns.”
Generator synchronization and load-sharing remain among Pyramid Automation’s core areas of expertise. The company has trained a large number of engineers and technicians in generator control technologies, helping industries improve operational reliability and power management.
By ensuring smooth synchronization between multiple generators and balanced load distribution, the company’s solutions help customers minimize downtime, protect equipment and maintain continuous production even during power interruptions.
Customer support, he said, is another major strength of the company. “We have a highly trained after-sales team and provide 24/7 technical support because industrial operations cannot wait when a problem occurs,” said Mr. Shafique Ahmad.
He added that Pyramid Automation continues investing in technical training to ensure its engineers remain capable of handling increasingly sophisticated industrial automation systems. This commitment to service has enabled the company to develop long-term relationships with customers across multiple industries.
Besides generator control systems, Pyramid Automation was one of the first companies that introduced surge protection devices, designed to safeguard expensive industrial equipment from electrical disturbance, to the Pakistani market. “Power surges can cause significant financial losses. Our surge protection solutions help industries protect their valuable assets and avoid unnecessary downtime,” he explained.
Discussing the future of Pakistan’s industrial sector, Mr. Shafique Ahmad believes automation will continue to play a vital role in improving productivity and competitiveness. He noted that manufacturers are increasingly recognizing the value of investing in reliable automation, intelligent power management and equipment protection to enhance operational efficiency.
