Fauji Cement becomes the third largest cement producing company in the country after successfully commissioning it’s Greenfeild manufacturing plant which has increased the production capacity of the company by 6500 tons per day. The plant is located at Shadan Lund, District Dera Ghazi Khan.
The total cement production of the company has risen to 10.6 million tons per annum. The Greenfield project has also gained the achievement of being completed within a record time of 13 months. This project has proven to be extremely beneficial as the plant has been developed in an impoverished area of Southern Punjab and has provided the opportunity for jobs and livelihood to the locals. Moreover the project includes state of the art manufacturing equipment as well as an emissions control features and a waste heat recovery power plant.
Major CSR projects have also been initiated by the company which Include providing clean drinking water, healthcare and solar systems to deprived community with no electricity as well as supporting school going children.
