Export industry optimistic about future

The export industry of Pakistan is under a lot of pressure as the export industry faces the sharpest decline in business due to the deadly COVID-19 Pandemic. According to the official figures Pakistan’s exports fell by 54 per cent in the month of April. But exporters are still optimistic about the future of industry claiming that as soon as global lockdowns open the business activities will resume as usual.

The garment exporters are even expecting fresh orders for the post COVID-19 time.  The exporters claim that although some export orders were cancelled, many are on hold but will resume once things normalize.

Interestingly, Americans are not ready to buy Chinese products due to the tariff war between the two countries and this has created space for Pakistani products, particularly for the textile sector. Exporters are anticipating huge orders from the markets of USA due to this reason.

Currently Pakistan is exporting highly quality medical masks and other medical equipment’s to Europe and USA.
