Two Excellence Hubs in the field of Renewable Energy, each in Punjab and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa provinces, are planned to be established in educational institutions under the new initiatives being undertaken by the federal government during the financial year 2023-24.
Two Excellence Hubs in the field of Renewable Energy are planned to be established in Punjab province at an estimated cost of Rs 1117.402 million including grant of Rs 844.344 million from KFW German Cooperation.
The project envisages establishment of two state-of-the-art excellence hubs in the field of Renewable Energy in Government Colleges of Technology in Lahore and Taxila. After completion, youth will be trained in “PV Installer, PV solar technician and other renewable energy ” related trades.
Furthermore, two Excellence Hubs in the field of Renewable Energy are also going to be established in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa province at an estimated cost of Rs 740.70 million including grant of Rs 718.00 million from KFW German Cooperation.
The project seeks to establish two state-of-the-art excellence hubs in the field of Renewable Energy in Government Colleges of Technology Peshawar and Swat.
Under the programme, the youth will be provided training based on the Solar PV and Micro Hydro Power (MHP) sector value chain as well as a center of excellence on renewable energy related trades.
