Engr. Najeeb Haroon wins PEC Elections 2021

The National Engineering Alliance (NEA) has turned out to be victorious in the elections of Pakistan Engineering Council 2021 held on the 8th of August 2021.

The NEA was able to win the elections with such a huge majority that all six management positions of PEC went to the candidates of the NEA. The winning candidates are Engr Najeeb Haroon Chairman, Engr Nayyar Saeed-Sr Vice Chairman, Engr Prof Dr Niaz Ahmed Akhtar- Vice Chairman Punjab, Engr Mukhtar A Sheikh-Vice Chairman Sindh, Engr Ejaz Hussain Ansari-Vice Chairman KPK, Engr Nasir Majeed- Vice Chairman Baluchistan.

The new Chairman elect of PEC Engr Najeeb Haroon is a Civil engineer from NED University Karachi. For higher education, he went to America for a Master’s degree in Civil Engineering from Oregon state university. He is the founder of Principle builders which he established at the age of 31.

Engr Najeeb Haroon has been actively participating in politics since his days in the university. He has the distinction of being the first elected president of the student body of NED University. He is also one of the only surviving founding member of PTI other than Imran Khan. He is an MNA from NA-256 (Karachi Central-IV).

The NEA has been actively advocating for reforms for the betterment of Engineers in the country. During the election campaign, Engr. Najeeb Haroon said that it has been the misfortune of this country that the Engineers in this country have not been given their due share of respect and authority. The NEA has repeatedly called out for the improvement of Engineers in the country. From reserving key positions for local engineers in engineering related organisations and projects issuing a technical stipend for engineers, the NEA has promised it all.
