Engineering giant Mecatech stepping into the construction industry Chairman Mr. Anwar Ul Haq discloses the successful expansion of company to Engineering Post

Mecatech (Pvt) Ltd the renowned MEP contracting firm has decided to further diversify its portfolio by venturing into the Construction business. The company already has a very strong foothold in the market and with the addition of civil work Mecatech (Pvt) Ltd has now grown into a complete turnkey solution provider.

Engineering Post had a detailed conversation with Chairman Mecatech Group Engr. Anwar Ul Haq who revealed that the company has already completed and delivered projects and more are in the pipeline “Mecatech was awarded the complete work for the construction of State Bank Sialkot. The 800 million rupees project included Civil work, Elevators, HVAC, Electrical work, power generation, Infrastructure including electrical infrastructure as well as roads and public health. Even though we were new to the field we managed to complete and deliver the project 6 months ahead of schedule,” he revealed.

As part of this new venture the company has also developed civil related systems at its head office and at its sites. Currently Mecatech (Pvt) Ltd has the capacity to handle projects worth 4-5 Billion rupees.  Currently the company is working in the construction of “Mother and Child Hospital, Multan” which is a significant job worth more than 1.8 billion rupees.

Mecatech (Pvt) Ltd was founded in 1987 as a consulting firm in Pakistan. By 1998 the company had started equipment supply of its own. Then expanded into contracting and HVAC sector and further added electrical and mechanical work into its portfolio. Now the company has evolved into a complete turnkey solution provider with in house expertise providing everything under a one roof.
