The construction work on the 132 KV grid station at the Hattar Special Economic Zone commenced in the last week of July 2019. Special Assistant to Chief Minister on Industries Abdul Karim Khan was the chief guest at the ceremony.
The Grid station will provide 50 MW electricity to the SEZ, while a feeder of 5 MW electricity will also be brought from nearby Grid Station
Grid civil works are expected to be completed by Feb 2020. Installation of transformers and equipment by PESCO will run parallel with civil works. Work on laying transmission line from Haripur Grid Station is also expected shortly.
CEO KPEZDMC said that ground breaking of the grid station is first step towards colonization of Hattar SEZ.
