Engineering Post Report
The Federal Government has focused on completion of ongoing projects in the important Transport and Communications sector under the Public Sector Development Programme (PSDP) 2020-21, initiating commercially viable projects on Public-Private Partnership (PPP)/ Build-Own-Transfer (BOT) basis.
As regarding strategy underlining PSDP for the just commenced financial year, no provincial road will be taken up except for the less developed areas of Balochistan, South Punjab, South Khyber Pukhtoonkhwah, Merged Areas and Gilgit-Batistan.
Furthermore, east west regional connectivity as well as inter-provincial connectivity have also been placed on top priority in order to improve the linkages aiming at enhancing international trade as well as trade within the country.
