Azerbaijan open doors for Pakistani Businessmen

The Sarhad Chamber of Commerce and Industry chairman Hasnain Khurshid Ahmad organized a meeting with the Azerbaijan ambassador in Pakistan Khazar Farhadove to discuss the business opportunities and investment strategies in both the countries.

Hasnain Khurshid, while speaking to the attending parties, said that we need a special emphasis on the business sector in both the countries to further improve relations between Pakistan and Azerbaijan. He said that mutually cooperated investments and projects need to be launched for the betterment of trade and economics of both the countries.

He pointed out that the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa province is filled with vast opportunities for foreign investments and sectors like oil, gas, minerals, hydel power generation, and furniture provide significant positive investment chances.

He also said that KP province links with Afghanistan as well as Central Asian Republic which adds to the importance the province bears regarding regional trade uplifting.

The Azerbaijan ambassador Khazar Farhadove said that the country is enjoying friendly relationship with Pakistan. Azerbaijan has always wanted to enhance the mutual relationships between both countries regarding trade and businesses. He said that working groups have been formed to remove the hurdles and problems faced by both the countries in this sector. He also said that the Azerbaijan government hopes for Pakistani investors to invest and take part in the Azerbaijan projects as well. SCCI senior vice president Imran Khan Mohmand, Executive members Muhammad Aurangzeb, Pervez Khattak, Tameotah Khalilov and Shoaib Khan from Azerbaijan embassy in Pakistan, importers, exporters, and traders were present during the meeting in a large number.
