ELSEWEDY ELECTRIC Group has been a global leader in integrated energy solutions for over 80 years. In this time, we have evolved into a diversified conglomerate with a presence in over 37 production facilities worldwide, employing more than 15,000 dedicated professionals.
Our journey into the vibrant energy sector of Pakistan commenced in the wake of the COVID-19 pandemic in 2021, with a substantial investment plan. We proudly acquired Validus Engineering Pvt Limited, formerly known as the Siemens Transformer Manufacturing Facility in Karachi. This facility boasts a rich legacy of transformer manufacturing spanning over five decades and has supplied more than 700 power transformers, across various ratings, to utilities both in Pakistan and for export to other nations.
Since our acquisition of this transformer manufacturing facility, ELSEWEDY ELECTRIC has injected millions of dollars into infrastructure improvements, cutting-edge machinery, advanced testing equipment, and comprehensive workforce training.
Graced by the blessings of Allah, unwavering dedication from our Pakistani team, and strong support from local utilities, we are humbled and honoured to share our key achievements:
The transformation and modernization of our Power Transformer facility in Pakistan to meet the latest international manufacturing standards.
Significant capacity enhancements, enabling us to produce transformers up to 220 kV, 250 MVA.
The successful completion of Type Testing for 40MVA, 132 kV Power Transformers by a STL-accredited European Independent Laboratory, solidifying our position as a trusted source for high-quality transformers to meet the domestic demands of our valued customers in Pakistan.
A fervent commitment to promoting the “Made in Pakistan” brand through the export of Power Transformers to key markets, contributing to the country’s foreign currency reserves.
We are pleased to report that we have already exported 4 power transformers (20 MVA each) to the UAE, making a substantial contribution to Pakistan’s foreign exchange earnings under the “Make in Pakistan” initiative. We anticipate further exports in the coming months.
With an unwavering focus on Pakistan, both from our global group and local management, we are steadfast in our commitment to excel and serve this great nation with our vast expertise and experience. Our ongoing efforts to enhance local value addition and explore investment opportunities in other products and components are testament to our dedication to the future of Pakistan’s energy landscape. Together, we aim to power a brighter, sustainable future for all.
