Federal Minister of planning Development and special initiatives Asad Umar held the 4th meeting of Pak- China relations steering committee under his chairmanship in which he was informed about the fact that an initial 132 KV line was being constructed to meet the power related needs of Gawadar. The problems experienced by the investors in the ongoing projects were also discussed in detail.
The supply will be provided by the national grid and will be transferred through a 132 KV line which will be constructed for the purpose. This supply will subsequently meet all the requirements of the city. Moreover, a few short term solutions will also be put forward in this regard including the installation of approximately 3000 solar panels in the households that will ensure the complete electric supply to the city.
A briefing was also provided on the KKG Thakot Raikot section realignment project. NESPAK and Chinese support will sit side by side to study the feasibility of the project. It was also put under consideration that the work on the Quetta Zhob road project was under hiatus due to the order of the Islamabad high court. Industrial cooperation issues were also discussed.
The committee showed satisfaction over the methods used to provide facilities and easiness in the work of the investors, as well as the progress of the projects under consideration. Senior officials of the divisions were also a part of the meeting.
