Yutong Bus, the world’s largest Chinese bus manufacturing company has decided to set up a manufacturing plant for intercity and electric buses in Karachi. This was disclosed officially by the senior Minister of Sindh and Provincial Minister for Information, Transport, Mass Transit, Excise, Taxation, and Narcotics Control Sharjeel Inam Memon.
He further informed that the CEO middle east of Yutong Bus, Robin, along with other officials have decided to set up a plant in Karachi which will manufacture EV buses and Hybrid Diesel buses within the city. This was decided after consulting the Minister himself. The installation of this plant will commence within three months and will be expected to be completed in a year.
