Worldwide Group – Two Decades of Excellence in Cable Manufacturing

Mian Muhammad Kashif, CEO, World Wide Cables

Worldwide Group has been a prominent force in Pakistan’s cable industry for over two decades. Founded in 2001 by Mian Muhammad Kashif, the company began its journey with the production of instrument leads. As it gained experience and foresaw the nation’s growing energy challenges, Worldwide expanded into the manufacturing of high-demand flexible cables and battery leads. With an unwavering commitment to quality and innovation, the company quickly emerged as a market leader in these categories.

Encouraged by the success of its flexible cords and battery leads, Worldwide broadened its product range in 2008 by introducing solar cables to its portfolio, alongside conventional house wiring distributed through its nationwide dealer network. Under the visionary leadership of CEO Mian Kashif, later joined by his brothers Mian Asim and Mian Asif as Directors, the company embraced a philosophy to “do the un-doable.” This forward-looking mindset drove Worldwide to venture into manufacturing products traditionally imported into Pakistan, such as Ethernet Cables (CAT-5, CAT-6, CAT-6a). By investing in world-class machinery and sourcing premium raw materials, the company ensured its products matched international standards. This not only fulfilled local demand for high-quality LAN solutions but also contributed to conserving valuable foreign exchange for the country. During the same period, Worldwide also launched RG-59 CCTV cables for the growing surveillance market.

Building on its achievements, Worldwide took another leap by commencing the production of Optical Fiber Cables for PTCL’s telecom ISP distribution networks, cementing its role as a partner in Pakistan’s digital infrastructure. In 2020, the group consolidated its operations under a single entity, Worldwide Cables (Pvt) Ltd, unifying all manufacturing facilities.

At the heart of Worldwide’s success are its uncompromising standards of quality and sustainability. Its modern plants at Sundar Industrial Estate, Lahore, are equipped with advanced imported machinery, while its testing laboratories feature cutting-edge equipment calibrated by independent authorities. The company ensures excellence by using 99.99% pure copper, premium imported polymers, and a highly skilled workforce supported by continuous R&D and employee training.

Worldwide has consistently invested in value addition for customer benefit. It has adopted LSZH (Low Smoke Zero Halogen) insulation for house wiring to enhance safety, while upgrading its solar cable insulation and sheath material from conventional PVC to high-performance XLPO. Today, the company manufactures a comprehensive range of products under one roof, including Power Cables, Solar Cables, Ethernet Cables, Fire Alarm Cables, CCTV Surveillance Cables, and Optical Fiber Cables.

The company’s reputation for world-class quality at competitive prices has earned it wide recognition. Worldwide Solar Cables have been approved and deployed in landmark public projects, such as the Chief Minister Punjab Free Solar Program and the Electric Bus Terminal Project in Lahore, alongside widespread adoption in residential and industrial sectors across Pakistan.

In recognition of its outstanding contribution, Worldwide Cables is honored with the “Technical Excellence Award 2025” for its solar cables at the 2nd International Solar Power Conclave & Technology 2025—a prestigious forum in the global solar industry.

Looking ahead, the ambition and drive of Founder & CEO Mian Kashif continue to propel the company toward new horizons. With upcoming ventures already in the pipeline, Worldwide Cables is set to introduce pioneering solutions that will further strengthen Pakistan’s modern solar, networking and power industries.
