“7 Emerging Technologies disrupting Our Future and Career Planning”
Nazeer Hussain University (NHU) is a leading university having diverse academic and research programs with dynamic faculty dedicated to excellence. NHU is offering contemporary education in the field of Engineering (Electrical, Mechanical, Civil), Computer Science at graduate level, and also offers MBA, Pharm D, and Architecture, in addition to many technologies programs in the evening.
Keeping in view the importance of the role of “7 Emerging Technologies Disrupting Our Future And Career Planning” for the development of our students in particular and our society in general, Director of Quality Enhancement Cell (QEC) and Director of Industrial Liaison has jointly organized a free day workshop on “7 Emerging Technologies Disrupting Our Future And Career Planning” in collaboration with IdeaGist-USA at Nazeer Hussain University Auditorium on Tuesday, the 30th March, 2021 from 09am to 05pm to impart intensive and hands-on training in these emerging fields. The seminar/workshop was conducted by Mr. Hassan Syed, founder of IdeaGist-USA and CEO at Birventures. About 100 participants including 20 faculty members attended the workshop. The speaker/trainer highlighted the major job losses due to automation and emerging technologies like AI, 3D Printing, Smart Robots and Intelligent Vehicles. He clearly started that communities will be facing devastating financial and social impact of these changes.
For those students ready to enter into the job marked or just started the job, the speaker gave them an understanding of the magnitude of these changes, as these can affect their future careers and planning. Mr. Hassan Syed also warned that these 7 emerging technologies are going to shake the future job market and the risk of job loss to spike in near. Therefore, we have to provide guidelines and training to students on emerging technologies. He added that IdeaGist is providing a platform for career planning in these emerging technologies and preparing the students to achieve their future job goals.
IdeaGist is the largest digital incubation platform in the world and a major supporter of Kamyab Jawan Startup Pakistan Program. Gist Technologies (Pvt) Ltd. is appointed by IdeaGist-USA to launch 600 incubation centers with 200 universities, 300 top colleges and 100 madaris. Earlier this, in partnership with 34 universities, Gist Technology started a pilot of startup Pakistan.
Gist Technology is now running the fourth cohort with more than 50,000 total registrations and more than 4,000 graduates so far, now there are thousands of university students that have gone through a comprehensive training program on Entrepreneurship and are ready to launch their business. They could become a new bread of entrepreneurs, defining micro-enterprises in the digital age, creating jobs and economic activity.
During the workshop, out of 49 emerging technologies currently on the horizon, 7 technologies were picked by IdeaGist as most disruptive.
The definition of each technology, its components, current challenges, future impact on jobs, and real-world examples its applications will be shared with participates. Following technologies were discussed in details.

- Augmented Reality, its current and future application.
- Block-chain, its current and future application.
- Internet of Things, its current and future application.
- Intelligent Vehicles, its current and future application.
- Smart Robots, its current and future application.
