Unemployment rate of the labour force in the country in 2006-07 was 6.2 percent per annum which decreased to 5.5 percent in 2009=10, showed little upward trend in 2014-15 when it increased to 5.9 percent and further went up a little to 6.3 percent in 2019-20, according to some interests facts and figures available from official sources concerned.
Labour force on the whole was 50.5 million in 2006-07, 53.7 million in 2009-10, 61.04 million in 20124-15 and 71.8 million in 2019-20.
Employed labour force was 47.3 million in 2006-07, 50.8 million in 2009-10, 57..4 million in 2014-15 and 67.3 million in 2019-20.
