Wiring the Future: Monitor Cables Commitment to Quality and Innovation

Mr. Naveed Boghani, Director Monitor Group talks to Engineering Post

Monitor Cables has been a leading force in the industry since its establishment in 2007. Known for its unwavering commitment to customer satisfaction and superior quality products, Monitor Cables has not only fortified its presence in the cable manufacturing sector but has also recently expanded into new market segments, notably the solar industry by the name of Monitor Energy, to enhance the quality of renewable energy in Pakistan. Furthermore two other sub divisions, Monitor Wires and Monitor PVC have been performing well in their respective segments.

In an exclusive conversation with Engineering Post, Mr. Naveed Boghani, Director of Monitor Group, shared insights into the company’s strategic direction and its interest in setting foothold in the rapidly growing solar industry in Pakistan. Recognizing the increasing demand for solar products, Monitor Cables has responded by supplying high-quality cables and wires tailored for solar systems. “Realizing the potentially increasing demand for solar in Pakistan, we have ventured into the manufacturing of flexible wires for solar applications, in addition to introducing multicore wires to ensure we meet market demands,” Mr. Boghani said.

The innovative multicore wires by Monitor Cables offer a streamlined solution for connecting multiple panels and inverters with a single cable. These wires are designed to transmit multiple signals through various devices within a single cable, reducing clutter and enhancing installation efficiency, especially in large-scale solar projects. This innovation reflects the company’s dedication to providing high-quality, locally produced cables in Pakistan. To support this, Monitor Cables recently completed an expansion of their manufacturing facility.

Mr. Naveed Boghani also highlighted the company’s plans to expand in northern Pakistan after establishing a strong presence in the south. “We have been focusing on the southern region for some time now, and we have established a robust network there. However, we are now looking to extend our reach and build a distribution network in the north as well,” he stated. Monitor Cables has already set up a distribution office in the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KPK) province, serving as the operational base for their northern expansion.

Operating out of Karachi since 2007, Monitor Cables – now under the umbrella of Monitor Group manufactures all its products in-house, including the PVC, which is certified by PCSIR and can withstand 10 percent more heat than other PVCs produced in the country.

Additionally, Monitor PVC, another entity under the Monitor Group umbrella, specializes in producing high-quality PVC conduit pipes, ducts, and electrical boxes made out of same A-grade PVC.

Mr. Boghani further elaborated on the superior quality of Monitor Cables’ products, emphasizing the meticulous craftsmanship involved in their production. By using 99.9% pure copper and electrical-grade PVC, the cables offer exceptional electrical insulation, flexibility, and high voltage elongation properties. The company’s adherence to globally recognized standards such as BS7655 and BS6346 further reassures its commitment to quality and safety in cable manufacturing.

At the core of Monitor Group’s philosophy is an unwavering dedication to providing top-tier products. As Mr. Naveed Boghani stated, “From day one, our business philosophy has been to provide quality products at all costs. We believe that our customers deserve nothing but the best, and we strive to meet their expectations in every way possible.”
