Uzbek delegation to visit Pakistan to discuss Trans- Afghan project

After the  invitation from Prime Minister Imran Khan the president of Uzbekistan, Shavkat Mirziyoyev Decides to visit the country accompanied by a high level delegation. The Uzbek president will be visiting Pakistan for the first time  since 2016. According to the officials of the government of Pakistan the delegation accompanying the Uzbek president will include foreign ministers, members of the cabinet, senior government officials, and business and media personnel.

During the meeting of both the leaders a complete review of bilateral relations of both the countries will be done which will include political cooperation, trades and finances, technology and connectivity and education and culture. The visit of the Uzbek President will mark the commemoration of the 30th anniversary of establishment of diplomatic relations between Pakistan and Uzbekistan.

 The Uzbek president will have a separate meeting with the Prime Minister of Pakistan. Pakistani government will also host a state banquet in his honour.

Both the sides will be discussing about the Trans- Afghan project which is to connect Pakistan, Afghanistan and Uzbekistan. Higher level businessmen from both the countries will also be interacting with each other. A few MOUs Are also expected to be signed between both the countries regarding trade, investment and business platforms.
