The data released by the ministry of information and telecommunication stated the increase in the exports of the department on an year to year basis as compared to the data in last year November 2020.
The data included the facts regarding telecommunication, computer and information services for the time span of July November fiscal year 2021-22 and showed a rise of 37.57 percent reaching to a total of 1.05 billion dollarsfrom 764 million dollars initially.
The ICT export remittances, including telecommunication, computer and information services for the period July-November fiscal year 2021-22 surged to $1.051 billion at a growth rate of 37.57 percent compared to $764 million during July-November fiscal year 2020-21.
The remittances increased further 26 million dollars from the month of October 2021. The net exports for the period July-November fiscal year 2021-22 are $797 million, which is 75.83 percent of $1.051 billion in exports.
The net exports for the same period last year were $554 million, which was 72.51 percent of $764 million in exports.
The representatives of the ministry said that major steps are being taken to further increase the IT exports. Syed Amin ul Haq, the federal minister of telecommunication has demanded an achievement for further IT exports increase and has advised to take every possible action in this matter. He said that in order to connect the youth, especially the students, of Pakistan to a digital world, necessary steps need to be taken under the prime minister’s vision of a digital Pakistan. He also praised the ministry for its developments to adjust to the pandemic situation regarding telecommunication.
