Discussion with Abdul Aleem, CEO Taj Engineering Company
Since its inception in 2002, Taj Engineering Company has emerged as one of the most reliable names in Pakistan’s electrical engineering industry. What began with manufacturing LT Panels, FC Panels, Lighting Distribution Boards, and Control Panels has now grown into a diversified portfolio that includes type-tested panels, MCC panels, and LT panels in different forms such as Form 3 and Form 4, meeting the ever-evolving needs of its clients.
In an exclusive discussion with Engineering Post, Abdul Aleem, CEO of Taj Engineering Company, spoke about the company’s journey, achievements, and ambitions. He was quick to highlight the company’s guiding principle. “From the very beginning, our rule has been simple there is no compromise on quality. That is why we only procure major components from leading global manufacturers like ABB, Schneider, and Terasaki. Even our allied components are sourced only from renowned brands,” he emphasized.
The product range offered by Taj Engineering is extensive and tailored to a wide array of applications. The company produces 400V Low Tension Panels in Form 4 & 2, Power Factor Panels, Take Off Panels, Synchronizing Panels, Generator Panels, Motor Control Centers in Form 3B, ATS & Changeover Panels, Power & Lighting Distribution Boards in Form 2, as well as specialized Control Panels. Each panel is meticulously assembled with complete copper work and wiring, ensuring compliance with international standards. The company works closely with national and international consultants, electrical contractors, HVAC contractors, and engineering staff of industries, utilities, and buildings, offering not only products but also engineering, commissioning, and backup services.
Beyond panels, Taj Engineering has established a strong foothold in Cable Tray systems, manufacturing Ladder, Perforated, and Solid Bottom Trays along with all accessories required for installation. This diversification, according to Abdul Aleem, was a natural progression. “Our clients trust us with critical power solutions. Providing them with high-quality Cable Tray systems along with panels ensures they get complete solutions under one roof,” he explained.
Reflecting on the company growth Mr. Abdul Aleem shared that my son Abdullah Aleem as Director Marketing, engineering and sales has been assisting me and take part in company growth for the last-10 years covering consultant, Clients, and Customers.
All products are manufactured in line with the latest IEC standards, enabling Taj Engineering to serve projects across various sectors including industrial plants, commercial buildings, hospitals, restaurants, offices, and even residential complexes. This strong commitment to international benchmarks has allowed the company to step beyond local markets.
One of Taj Engineering’s most significant milestones is its collaboration with M.K Switchgear, part of M.K Trading LLC in Oman. Through this partnership, the company has extended its reach to the Middle East, supplying 400V Low Tension Panels, Power Factor Panels, MCC Panels, ATS & Changeover Panels, Meter Panels, and Type-Tested Panels to international clients. “Our technical collaboration with international manufacturers enables us to bring globally certified Type-Tested Panels to Pakistan. This gives our clients the confidence that our products meet the same standards as those used worldwide,” said Abdul Aleem.
Reflecting on the company’s vision, Abdul Aleem shared, “Our goal is to stay ahead of market demands by continuously improving our product range, expanding our expertise in Type-Tested solutions, bus bar trunking system, medium voltage switchgear & transformer range and also strengthening our international collaborations.
