Report by Engineering Post

Funding for Startups in Pakistan rose to $ 36.6 million in the just ended calendar year 2025 from $ 22.5 million during the previous year 2024.

However, somehow the figure has quite significantly remained below the record figures registered in 2021 and 2022, according to the figures now available from the concerned quarters.

The 2025 total was reportedly spread across approximately 10 disclosed funding rounds, with several others occurring without disclosing the amounts involved publicly. The funding environment continued to be concentrated in larger rounds, rather than being spread out across a larger number of Smaller investments.

On average, the disclosed deals during the year under report 2025 were worth around $ 3.7 million, indicating a notable increase from the previous year thus signaling larger funding commitments.

Quite interestingly, female-led startups accounted for about $ 8.9 million of the total funding, making up around one – quarter of the capital raised on the whole.

Despite a positive increase in funding during year 2025, it substantially fell short of $ 347 million and $ 331 million raised in 2021 and 2022 respectively highlighting ongoing challenges for Pakistan’s startup ecosystem in attracting the capital.
