Punjab Chief Minister Sardar Usman Buzdar while inaugurating the Lahore Ring Road Authority Office Complex said that he has accorded principle approval to 8km-long southern loop-III of Lahore Ring Road project from Adda Plot to Multan Road. The will be completed with a cost of around Rs 10 billion through public-private partnership. He directed all the concerned departments to work day and night on this project and complete it within one year. He also directed them to plant one million trees around the Ring Road.
Provincial Ministers Mian Mahmood-ur-Rasheed, Asif Nakai and Hashim Dogar, Malik Asad MPA, ACS, Secretary Information, Secretary Services, CCPO Lahore and others were also present on the occasion.
Commissioner Lahore Division Mujataba Paracha, who is also the chairperson of Lahore Ring Road Authority, gave a briefing to the chief minister about the progress of construction of ring road. He told the CM that 23km-long Lahore Ring Road Southern Loop-I and II have been completed in a period of 12 months through public-private partnership.
The CM instructed the comcerned authorities to hasten the installation of road-signs at various roads, as road-signs are necessary to guide the citizens and said that “Any delay in public welfare projects will not be tolerated,”
