The Sui Northern Gas Pipeline Limited (SNGPL) replaced a total of 254 kilometers long outdated gas pipeline during last financial year 2022-23at a cost of Rs 709 million in Multan region in furtherance of addressing and eliminating gas leakage complaints from the consumers of all categories.
According to the SNGPL officials, this was done after scanning of the region which was undertaken after every three years for examining the gas pipeline condition so that consumers complaints regarding gas leakage and low pressure could be addressed and removed as early as possible as per funds availability.
During outgoing financial 2023-24, another 235 kilometers long outdated gas pipeline was being replaced at an estimated cost of Rs 510 million.
