Chinese and Pakistanis researches are through mutual cooperation in furtherance of the joint construction of the Belt and Road Initiative (BRI) and great game changer China Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC) are engaged in helping Pakistan in building smarter and safer cities through the use of Artificial Intelligence (AI) technology.
According to an official of the Chinese laboratory Cuangzhon Institute of Software Application technology the laboratory was starting the application of smart cities in Pakistan, through platform our mature research results could be deeply connected with local projects in Pakistan providing smart city related products and intelligent solutions suitable to the local conditions, we are able to effectively implement core technologies and products such as smart street lights and smart videos to improve local urban governance ability asserting that scientific cooperation was of great importance to Pakistan’s socio-economic development.
At the beginning of the year 2022 , the CPInS Lab was officially established at the National University of Science and Technology (NUST) of Pakistan through cooperation of the Chinese Institute.
A professor of National University of Science and Technology’s School of Electrical Engineering and Computer Science on being contacted said that China’s Artificial Intelligence(AI) industry as leading the world and maintained Pakistan’s scientific and technological development has huge potential and through deepening bilateral cooperation Pakistan can make great strides in the field of Scientific technology, the lab was using technology from China for developing smart city projects such as infrastructure monitoring systems among others.
