State Minister for Industries and Production, Tasneem Ahmed Qureshi, inaugurated the
groundbreaking ceremony for the Sargodha Small Industrial Zone located at Asianwala,
Kandiwal Road. In his address at the event, Tasneem Ahmed Qureshi emphasized the urgent
need to transform the Sargodha division into a thriving economic and industrial hub by providing
comprehensive facilities. He highlighted that upon the project’s completion, a substantial number
of individuals would secure employment opportunities. The ceremony was attended by
prominent officials from the Pakistan Industries & Development Corporation, members of the
Sargodha Chamber of Commerce and Industry, as well as a considerable crowd. During his
presentation on the project, Fahad Naseer, the Operations Manager of the Pakistan Industries &
Development Corporation, revealed that the initiative would cover an extensive 800 canals of
land.
The development would encompass various small-scale industries, including furniture
manufacturing, factories, and other units. Fahad Naseer noted that this ambitious endeavor
marked the first significant venture into small industries within Sargodha. The project aimed to
attract and support small-scale investors while generating substantial revenue from this industrial
hub. He further mentioned that investors committing their capital to different business ventures
would benefit from a tax exemption for a decade. Additionally, a consistent and uninterrupted
supply of electricity would be ensured for the industrial units. Fahad Naseer expressed gratitude
towards Tasneem Qureshi for his pivotal role in elevating Sargodha to an industrial hotspot.
