Alined with URAAN Pakistan and Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) the Science and Technology sector is focusing on demand driven Research and Development (R&D) through its 15 R& D organizations throughout the country.
In order to strengthen exports, it supports pharmaceuticals, biotechnology, and precision agriculture, including the local production of active pharmaceutical ingredients and industrial cannabis for high-value markets.
Under E.Pakistan, it is advancing Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics (STEM) education, Artificial Intelligence (AI) driven healthcare, and digital governance.
Ministry of Science and Technology (MoST) is also investing in green technologies, such as biodegradable materials and industrial hemp cultivation,while driving renewable energy innovations, solar PV testing, ai based energy solutions, empowering small and medium enterprises ( SMEs), expanding access to scientific instrumentation , and fostering industry-academia collaborations.
