The work on M3 Allama Iqbal industrial city is being done at maximum pace, says the chairman of FIEDMC Zafar Iqbal Sarwar during a press conference with the Chinese representatives in Faisalabad. All the concerns and problems that the foreign community and investors are cleared up. The project will be completed by the end of December 2022.
He stated that almost all the issues related to the project that were being experienced by the Chinese investors were fixed and that Fesco and the Sui Northern gas department have made exceptional progress in this regard. He also said that the department has complete support of the federal and provincial governments and complete cooperation is underway.
The chairman said that despite his short tenure as the FIEDMC chairman, he has managed to arrange meetings with delegations of domestic as well as foreign investors to address the issues faced by them, convened several meetings of the board of directors on several occasions and he has confirmed that the work is done on a solid basis. The media was informed about the details regarding construction, developmental works and supply of electricity, gas and water will be completed by March next year. A couple of grid stations have also been installed by Faisalabad Electric Supply Company. He admitted that the problems regarding the provision of basic services for the project has been unresolved for some time but the construction and infrastructure work has been done expeditiously. He also said that SME sector has been their top priority and work is also being done on the transportation and labor department. The construction of expo center Faisalabad which has been a necessity for quite some time now has also been approved
