PPL, Türkiye Advance Strategic Energy Partnership With Major Offshore Agreement

Pakistan Petroleum Limited (PPL) has taken a significant step toward deepening Pakistan-Türkiye energy cooperation by formalising an Assignment Agreement for the Eastern Offshore Indus Block C, bringing renewed momentum to the country’s offshore exploration efforts. The signing ceremony, held in Islamabad, was witnessed by Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif, Türkiye’s Minister for Energy and Natural Resources Alparslan Bayraktar, Pakistan’s Federal Minister for Petroleum Ali Pervaiz Malik, senior officials and industry leaders.

PPL’s Managing Director and CEO Sikandar Memon signed the agreement on behalf of the company. Under the new arrangement, PPL has transferred 25 percent Participating Interest (PI) and operatorship to Turkish Petroleum Overseas Company (TPOC), a subsidiary of Türkiye’s national oil company, TPAO.
