Mian Ahsan Ali, CEO, Powerzone Engineering talks to Engineering Post
Powerzone Engineering and Services was founded in 2003 with a mission of providing complete backup energy solutions at affordable cost. Under the leadership of CEO, Mian Ahsan Ali, the company is dealing with a diverse range of electrical and medical equipment especially in the backup power sector.
Powerzone Engineering and Services is the company which properly introduced Fiat Powertrain Technologies (FPT) products in the market. In this regard Powerzone and FPT decided on a partnership agreement in order to provide FPT generators in the Pakistani market. The partnership has since been proven to be extremely successful as FPT has made a name for itself in the Pakistani Market.
While speaking exclusively to Engineering Post, Mian Ahsan Ali, CEO Powerzone Engineering revealed, “In the last two years we have already installed more than 150 generators while around 500 are in the pipeline,” he said. The ruggedness and efficiency of FPT has made it the most remarkable brand in the country, being able to perform exceptionally well at ambient temperature of 50 degree centigrade while at the same time being cost effective as well. FPT Gensets are 17% more fuel efficient then conventional gensets in the market.
During the conversation Mian Ahsan Ali explained how FPT generators manage to have a low maintenance cost “FPT generators require scheduled maintenance after 400 hours while others need to be maintained only after 250 hours. Moreover FPT requires only 50 liters of oil while its competitors need 80-85 liters, at scheduled maintenance. This makes FPT a very rugged and reliable product to be deployed at far flung areas as well,” he said. FPT offers 2 years of warranty which is one year more than its competitors and even after being a European brand it is 10-15% more cost effective than its competition.
While speaking exclusively to Engineering Post, Mian Ahsan said “Powerzone is developing the trust of customers in the products of FPT. We are also planning to expand our partnership with FPT and step into off road as well as marine engines in the near future,” The idea sounds promising because FPT has recently been involved in making the fastest boat in the world
FPT is a part of Fiat Group Automobiles which produces world renowned cars including Alfa Romeo, Chrysler, Dodge, Ferrari, Jeep, Lancia, Maserati, Ram Trucks, and SRT. Working under Fiat automobiles group, the Fiat Powertrain Technologies Company has activities in nine different countries; it has 10 plants and around 20,000 employees. With an output of around 2.9 million engines and 2.4 million transmissions and axles annually, FPT is one of the largest companies in the powertrain sector.
