German Foreign Minister Heiko Maas on his first official visit to Pakistan called on Prime Minister Imran Khan at the Prime Minister’s office and discussed matters of mutual interest. PM appreciated the investment of Germany in the automobile and hydroelectric power generation sector and invited them to invest in human development, especially education and health in Pakistan.
German automobile producer Volkswagen is all set to enter the Pakistani market. Premier motors in collaboration with Volkswagen in setting up a completely knocked down (CKD) assembly plant in Karachi. The German company Siemens has invested heavily in power generation and medical sectors in Pakistan.
The German foreign minister reiterated German Chancellor Angela Merkel’s invitation to the Prime Minister to visit Germany at his convenience.
