City District Government Peshawar has decided the construction of 10-storey parking plaza in Namak Mandi. The PC-I and PC-II of the project has already been prepared and work on the project will be initiated in March 2017.
The decision was taken in a meeting held with District Nazim, Mohammad Asim Khan in the chair beside, District Naib Nazim, Syed Qasim Ali Shah, Director Coordination, Sahibzada Mohammad Tariq, Deputy Director Mian Shafiq-ur-Rehman, officials of Peshawar Development Authority and others also attended.
The first-ever public sector 10-storey plaza will be constructed on 45 Marla land and its first two floors will be comprised of shops while the remaining floors will be reserved for parking. The project will cost Rs.250 million.
The meeting decided that after the establishment of the parking plaza, the parking of vehicles on roads in Namak Mandi, Shah Qabool, Kohati, Bajauri Gate, Cinema Roads and Shuba Bazaar will be banned and both sides of the road will be opened for traffic.
